Bear Valley Hospice was founded over a decade ago by Dr. Cary Stewart, a familiar face in our community. Dr. Stewart's journey began on the football field of BBHS in the 1980s, where his passion for helping others was ignited while providing first-aid to his teammates. After years of dedicated study and over two decades of experience in hospice care, Dr. Stewart established Bear Valley Hospice in 2013, fulfilling his calling to serve our mountain community with locally-based, compassionate care.
What sets Bear Valley Hospice apart is our commitment to serving our neighbors with dignity and respect. As the first and only local hospice care provider in the Big Bear Valley, we pride ourselves on our ability to serve patients and families efficiently and effectively. With locally-based staff who view our patients as family, friends, and neighbors, we strive to provide exceptional care that reflects the values of our community.
