Schneider’s Automotive Repair is a family owned and operated business serving the Simi Valley, Moorpark and Thousand Oaks communities. We specialize in both domestic and foreign vehicles including diesel trucks. We offer a FREE 30-point digital inspection complete with photographs of your vehicle detailing the specifics of your car or truck.
How many years have you been in business and what inspired you to start/purchase/work with this business?
We have owned and operated Schneider’s since 2017 and Schneider’s has been at its location on E Los Angeles Ave in Simi Valley since 1978. My husband Ken has been in the automotive service and repair industry for over 35 years. Ken previously owned a shop in the valley and when we heard Schneider’s was for sale, we met and formalized an agreement to take over Schneider’s where we could be closer to home and friends.
What is your background and how did you develop your skill set?
Ken started out as an apprentice when he was until in high school. He has always loved working on vehicles, especially the ones no one else can fix. He loves a challenge. Ken has owned and operated his own shop since early 1994 and is thrilled to be here in Simi Valley.
What has been your biggest success to date?
Opening a business in Simi Valley and serving this wonderful community.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Staying open during covid because we were considered an essential service and being able to retain all of our employees during this challenging time.
What inspires you to hit the ground running each morning?
Knowing that we are helping our customers on a daily basis and keeping their vehicles safe for family and friends.
What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?
That we are located directly across the street from Stater Bros grocery store and have been here continuously since 1978!
